BallIQ ("the app") is a sports-trivia game. This policy explains what data the app collects, why, and how it's used. BallIQ does not sell your data or use third-party advertising trackers.
Account. When you sign in with Sign in with Apple, we receive an Apple-generated user identifier, and — only if you choose to share them — your name and email address (or Apple's private relay email).
Profile. A username, optional avatar, and your primary sport preference.
Gameplay data. Your ratings and rating history, XP, streaks, and puzzle completion history — what powers your rank, streaks, and league standings.
User-generated content. If you create and publish a Community puzzle, its content and your authorship are stored and shown to other players. If you report a puzzle, the report (which puzzle, which reason, your account) is stored for moderation.
Push notifications. If you enable notifications, we store a device push token and your per-category notification preferences (streak reminders, league position, Versus challenges, season-end).
Usage analytics. A small set of in-app events (e.g. onboarding completed, sign-in completed, game started/completed, puzzle published, community puzzle played, share tapped, report filed) tied to your account ID when signed in, or recorded anonymously when signed out. These are used only to understand feature usage and are never sold or shared with advertisers.
Solely to operate the app: authenticate you, track your rating/progress, power Leagues and Versus matchmaking, show and moderate Community content, deliver the push notifications you've opted into, and understand which features are used so we can improve the app.
We use Supabase (database/backend hosting) and Apple (Sign in with Apple, push notification delivery) as infrastructure providers to operate the app. We do not sell data to, or share it with, advertisers or other third parties.
Your data is retained while your account is active. To request deletion of your account and associated data, email xmevans10@gmail.com.
BallIQ is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
